Apple is one of the three largest companies in the world by market cap, and catches a lot of attention with its famous line of products, ranging from the Iphone that started the smartphone trend, to stationary and portable computers like the Macbook pro.

So how many shares does Apple have?

Apple has around 4600 million outstanding stocks as of 2019. However, this amount has been declining steadily throughout the last years, as a result of its share repurchase program.

With the share repurchase program, we have seen the number of stocks decline from around 6600 million stocks in 2010 to today’s levels around 4600 million shares. Below you can see the number of outstanding stocks for every years from 2005 to 2019
